Yaphank group hosts county, town candidates

The Yaphank Taxpayers & Civic Association is hosting a public “Meet the Candidates Night” at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Yaphank Firehouse, 31 Main St.
Republican Angie Carpenter, a candidate for Suffolk county executive, is slated to attend. The other candidate, Democrat Steve Bellone, is tentatively scheduled to attend.
Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko will attend, as well as incumbent Brookhaven Councilwoman Connie Kepert and her Republican challenger Rick Cunha.
