Valley Stream North's Scholar Artist, Zi Jun Guo

Zi Jun (June) Guo is a talented artist at Valley Stream High School North. Her attention to detail not only makes her successful in the art world, but transcends itself through all of her other disciplines both musical and academic. 

June’s work was awarded 2nd Place in the 2014 Nassau County High School Student Juried Art Competition and Exhibition as well as the Award of Excellence for her work entered in the 2014 GO APE Long Island Advanced Placement High School Student Exhibition. Academically, June has been named student of the month several times, earning a spot on the Principal’s List and selection to the National Honor Society.

Beyond her studies, June spends countless hours volunteering at Franklin Hospital, acts as a translator at her church and performs as a violinist in the community orchestra.

June is applying to St. John’s University and the University at Buffalo for Doctor of Pharmacy programs as well as Hofstra and Brooklyn College for their Medical programs.
