“Army revises flood plan” [News, July 31] explained the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ plan to defend Suffolk’s southern coast from devastating storms. I applaud Suffolk County for being so proactive. Living in an area of the Town of Oyster Bay heavily affected by Superstorm Sandy, I daily scan the paper to see what is being planned for my area to combat any future storms.

I read articles about the town hiring outside lawyers for the many lawsuits it’s involved in, although there are lawyers on the town’s payroll.

We need to know about saving our shoreline and our homes. Is anything in the works?
