A Head Of The Harbor home with a bowling alley and a kitchen revamped by an HGTV designer is on the market for $2.9 million.

The contemporary build has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, totaling 6,475 square feet. The property is in the Smithtown Central School District, and the taxes are $32,218.

The house was built in 1986, and the basement bowling alley predates the seller, said listing agent Kyle Roskot, of The Agency. The bowling alley features one lane, a ball return, a shoe rack and classic, multicolored carpeting.

"The homeowner has serviced it and such," Roskot said. "But he loves the retro feel of the bowling alley and he just left it as is."

Designer Ken Kelly revamped the kitchen, Roskot said. Kelly's work has been featured on HGTV and his company, Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly, Inc., remodels culinary spaces all over Long Island. The kitchen features high-end appliances, a six-burner gas stove, wine refrigerator, three sinks and a mix of matte and polished quartz surfaces.

"All of the cabinets were custom designed and are made of solid maple and walnut," Roskot added.

There is a 1,000-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment on the second level, above the garage. The guest suite includes its own thermostat, kitchen and shower.

The pool was redone about three years ago, with the installation of a paver patio completed around the same time, Roskot said. The backyard also features built-in speakers.

The seller's "dedication and attention to detail" stands out to the listing agent.

"He didn't skip over anything," Roskot said. "Everything was done with purpose and intention, and everything's functional."
