Realtor.com: Bridgehampton, Water Mill among most expensive ZIP codes in U.S.

Bridgehampton and Water Mill remain among the 10 most expensive zip codes in the country, according to a Realtor.com analysis.
Now in fourth place, Bridgehampton — 11932 — has slipped from the third-place spot it held in August. Water Mill — 11976 — moved up from eighth place in August to sixth place.
Realtor.com economists analyzed areas with at least 30 active listings in January and ranked those markets by median listing price, according to an article on the site. For areas that had the same median listing price, the ranking took median square footage into account.
For Bridgehampton, Realtor.com reported a median listing price of $8.8 million and median square footage of 4,874. In Water Mill, the corresponding figures were $6.995 million and 5,821 square feet, respectively.
Newport Coast, California, took the top spot with a median listing price of $12.5 million and median square footage of 5,552. Florida’s Fisher Island fell from first in August to second in January, with a median listing price of $11.98 million and median square footage of 3,790.
