A 783-square-foot home in Rocky Point is on the market for $429,000. The taxes are $7,270. There is an offer pending, said listing agent Nanci Ann Polzella, of Team Scher at Signature Premier Properties.

The Park Drive house features two bedrooms and one bathroom. It sits on a ¼-acre lot. The property is in the Rocky Point School District.

During the open house, "everyone thought it looked just like a cabin up in the Poconos," Polzella said.

Prospective buyers also pointed out the wood paneling seen throughout the ceilings and some walls of the living space. The aesthetic continues into the kitchen, which is rare to see these days, Polzella said.

"Everything now is white shaker cabinets or gray cabinets, and this was the old-school, solid wood cabinets, which is nice," the agent said.

Multiple homes throughout Suffolk County that are below 700 square feet have been hitting the market since March. This could be the result of Long Islanders finally letting go over their summer homes, Polzella said.

"They were holding onto them because they purchased them for $35,000 way back then," she said, "Now, they can get close to $500,000 for these little bungalows, and first-time home buyers are grabbing them."
