We broke down the numbers based on players' 2015 salaries to show exactly what the highest-paid players in baseball were getting paid for.

But we didn't stop there. Using our 2015 MLB salary database, we calculated how much a run is worth in the AL East, how much the average leftfielder earns and how much a player in California can expect to make.

Team salaries are calculated based on players on their teams' active roster or disabled list on Opening Day 2015. Salary figures were culled from Cot's Baseball Contracts.
