Alex Rodriguez was the designated hitter yesterday for the Class A Tampa Yankees and went 0-for-3 in a 2-1 win over the Brevard County Manatees.
In his first at-bat, Rodriguez had to duck out of the way to avoid being hit in the head by a breaking pitch. He then lined out.
Rodriguez is expected to sit out Tampa’s game tonight but likely will be back in the team’s lineup tomorrow night.
