In a late lineup move, Alex Rodriguez has been moved from third base to designated hitter in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's lineup because of tightness in his left quadriceps, the Yankees announced less than an hour before the scheduled first pitch for the RailRiders' game against Louisville on Saturday.
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 as the designated hitter for the RailRiders on Friday.
Before the setback, A-Rod was expected to rejoin the Yankees on Monday against the Rangers.
