Andres Torres (calf strain) played nine innings Monday in a minor-league intrasquad game, and despite his 0-for-7 outing, he's optimistic that he can return to the Mets' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees. "I think so," he said. "My legs feel good. I just need more at-bats." He hasn't played in a Grapefruit game since March 20, and if he plays Tuesday or Wednesday and then needs to go on the DL, he can't be backdated.
