Andy Pettitte gives his thoughts on Roger Clemens
While Andy Pettitte hasn’t publicly commented on his role as a witness in Roger Clemens’ perjury trial, he did discuss the 50-year-old’s decision to pitch for an independent league team this weekend.
“He’s the ultimate competitor,” Pettitte said.
Pettitte said he could see it leading to Clemens possibly trying to get back to the big leagues.
“You would think, why do it unless you’re trying to get back there,” he said. “Why do it unless you’re trying to? I’m not real sure but if he’s trying to, if anybody could do it, he’s definitely somebody who could pull it off.”
