CLEVELAND — Andy Pettitte (fractured left fibula) threw a 60-pitch flat-ground session in the outfield yesterday, watched by Joe Girardi, pitching coach Larry Rothschild and trainer Steve Donohue. Pettitte will be evaluated Monday. "I just hope the doctor tells me I can’t hurt myself so I can get up on a mound," he said.

If he gets that go-ahead, he said his hope is to throw off a mound Tuesday. Girardi reiterated that he believes Pettitte will be healthy enough in time to make one or two starts before the end of the regular season.
