Lyle Overbay had the go-ahead RBI double in the seventh inning, Brett Cecil won for the first time in four starts and host Toronto handed Tampa Bay its third straight loss, 2-1, Friday night.

Cecil (9-5) gave up one run and four hits in seven innings, walking two and striking out nine. The lefthander won for just the second time in nine outings.

Toronto won despite failing to hit a home run for the first time in 14 home games.

Angels 4, Tigers 2

Jered Weaver (11-7) gave up one run and struck out nine in seven innings for the visiting Angels.

Torii Hunter, who homered in the first, was ejected in the eighth for arguing a called strike. Manager Mike Scioscia also was tossed.

Orioles 2, White Sox 1

Adam Jones singled in the winning run with two outs in the 10th inning as host Baltimore extended its unbeaten run under new manager Buck Showalter to four. Nick Markakis had a season-high four hits for the Orioles, who earned their second straight walk-off victory.

Cardinals 7, Marlins 0

Adam Wainwright (16-6) pitched a two-hitter, Albert Pujols homered and visiting St. Louis rolled.

Reds 3, Cubs 0

Bronson Arroyo (12-6) threw five-hit ball for seven innings as visiting Cincinnati moved 14 games over .500 for the first time in 11 years. Ryan Hanigan added a two-run homer. Arroyo held Chicago scoreless for the second time this season.

Rockies 6, Pirates 3

Troy Tulowitzki hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the seventh as Colorado snapped a seven-game road losing streak.

Brewers 6, Astros 5

Prince Fielder hit a two-run single in the ninth inning, capping host Milwaukee's four-run rally.

Glavine's number retired

The Atlanta Braves honored Tom Glavine by retiring his uniform number before their game against the San Francisco Giants, which was delayed more than an hour by rain. Glavine's No. 47 was placed beside former teammate Greg Maddux's No. 31 on the Turner Field facade in leftfield.

Bonds trial set for March

Slugger Barry Bonds will stand trial on federal perjury charges in March. Bonds' legal team, federal prosecutors and U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston agreed during a hearing Friday to begin the trial March 21. They also hashed out a schedule to file legal documents and to hold pretrial hearings to shape what the jury will see and hear during the three-week trial. - AP
