Contest: Win a book about Yankees history

Today, we're giving away "162-0: The Greatest Wins!" which puts together a mythical perfect Yankees "season" by picking one victory from 162 of the 183 available days on the basell calendar. There's even a 163rd victory, for good measure.

Marty Appel wrote the book. Marty worked for the Yankees for many years, and last year, he relased the oustanding "Munson." This book doesn't attain such heights, but it's not aiming that high. It's just a fun recollection of great Yankees wins.

And I will give my copy of the book to the first person who e-mails me - at kdavidoff@newsday.com - with the correct answer to this question:

On September 25, 1998, the Yankees defeated the (then) Devil Rays, 6-1, to record their 112th victory of the season. This set a new American League record for single-season wins, breaking the old mark set by the 1954 Indians.

Name the losing pitcher in this historic Yankees victory.
