CLEVELAND - Rookie David Phelps, if he wasn’t needed Friday night, will take the injured Ivan Nova’s spot in the rotation Monday or Tuesday.
“I’d like to keep starting, but I don’t want to see it at the expense of one of my teammates,” said Phelps, 1-2 with a 2.92 ERA in five starts this season. “But it’s obviously what I want to do.”
