While Joe Girardi likes to have David Phelps in the bullpen, there was really no other option than to start the righthander in the second game of Wednesday’s day-night doubleheader against Toronto. Phelps is 2-2 with a 4.17 ERA in nine big-league starts ... The Blue Jays will start Henderson Alvarez in the day and lefthander Ricky Romero at night ... Tickets for Tuesday night’s game will be valid for the 1:05 game.
