De La Rosa, Gordon help Dodgers top Phils

Rubby De La Rosa pitched five effective innings in his first career start and Dee Gordon had three hits in his first start, helping the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-2, Tuesday night.
De La Rosa (2-0) allowed one run, often pitching out of trouble because he walked five and gave up four hits.
Matt Kemp hit a two-run homer for the Dodgers, who've won six of nine.
Braves 1, Marlins 0: Tommy Hanson (7-4) pitched six innings and visiting Atlanta won with only two hits as they sent Florida to its sixth straight loss.
The Marlins' Brad Hand (0-1) went six innings in his major league debut and allowed just one hit -- a homer by Alex Gonzalez leading off the fourth.
Cardinals 7, Astros 4: Jake Westbrook (6-3) shook off early trouble on the mound and helped his cause with a three-run, tiebreaking double for visiting St. Louis. Former Houston star Lance Berkman hit his 13th homer and Albert Pujols homered (14th) for the fourth straight game.
Orioles 4, Athletics 0: J.J. Hardy, Luke Scott and Adam Jones hit solo homers and Chris Jakubauskas (1-0) pitched five shutout innings as host Baltimore handed Oakland its eighth straight loss.
Indians 1, Twins 0: Carlos Carrasco (5-3) took a shutout into the ninth inning for host Cleveland.
Tigers 8, Rangers 1: Austin Jackson had three of visiting Detroit's season-high 20 hits and Rick Porcello (6-3) won for the sixth time in seven outings.
Brewers draft Boras' son
Milwaukee drafted Trent Boras, the son of agent Scott Boras, in the 30th round. Boras is a high school third baseman from Newport Coast, Calif. The Brewers also took catcher Jonathan Lucroy's younger brother, David.
Pitchers suspended
Nationals pitcher Jason Marquis and Diamondbacks' Esmerling Vasquez have been suspended for throwing at hitters last weekend after both teams had been warned. Marquis was penalized five games, Vasquez three and both have appealed. -- AP
