Yankees superstar Derek Jeter will provide less value to the team than perennial underachiever Eduardo Nunez -- according to the latest computer projections.

The ZiPS projections for the Yankees (and several other teams) were unveiled on Fangraphs.com today and the forecasts for Jeter and Nunez aren't pretty:

  Jeter Nunez
Zips Wins Above Replacement 0.4 0.5
Average .259 .260
On-base percentage ,322 .304
Slugging percentage .357 .364
Home runs 5 5
Stolen bases 7 19
Plate appearances 325 385

The projections for the rest of the potential starters are a little more positive. You can find them all here.
