Dice-K fans nine as Red Sox down Blue Jays
Daisuke Matsuzaka allowed three hits in seven innings and the Boston Red Sox capitalized on more wildness by Toronto Blue Jays pitchers for a 6-1 win last night.
Matsuzaka (2-1) struck out nine and allowed a single and double by John Buck and a double by Fred Lewis. He walked none, and four Blue Jays pitchers issued eight bases on balls.

Cliff Lee (1-1) allowed one run in 71/3 innings to earn his first win for visiting Seattle. Ryan Langerhans homered for the Mariners, who have won two straight following an eight-game skid.
White Sox 5, Twins 2
A.J. Pierzynski and Alexei Ramirez had two-run doubles in a five-run fifth inning for visiting Chicago.
Indians 8, Royals 2
Russell Branyan homered twice and Jake Westbrook pitched six innings for his first win in two years for visiting Cleveland.

Tim Hudson (3-1) kept pitching his way out of trouble, Troy Glaus went deep for the second straight night and Eric Hinske doubled twice and drove in three runs for visiting Atlanta.

Ricky Nolasco (3-2) pitched seven sharp innings, and Cody Ross and Gaby Sanchez homered for visiting Florida.

Brett Myers (2-2) worked six strong innings and pinch hitters Cory Sullivan and Humberto Quintero hit consecutive RBI singles in a four-run seventh for visiting Houston.
