The Mets will commemorate Hofstra softball's first-ever appearance in an NCAA Super Regional with an on-field ceremony at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 18 before the Mets face the Orioles.
Led by Coach Bill Edwards, the Pride won their ninth Colonial Athletic Association title in the last 11 seasons. Hofstra finished the 2012 campaign at 42-15, including school records of 21 straight wins, and a 20-0 record against CAA opponents.
Most of the players and the entire coaching staff are expected to attend the event.
