Johan Santana scratched from Letterman's Top 10

Johan Santana's appearance Monday night on "The Late Show with David Letterman" was canceled late Monday afternoon, due to travel logistics, Newsday's Neil Best reported on his Twitter account.

Santana was supposed to read the Top 10 but had to cancel because of the team's trip to Washington D.C. where they begin a three-game series with the Nationals on Tuesday night.

The Mets also said Monday that Santana will make his next start Friday at Yankee Stadium to open the Subway Series. In Santana's last start, well, he did this.
