Jorge Posada to be honored at Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation Gala

Jorge Posada will be this year's honoree at the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation's 11th Anniversary Gala on Nov. 14 at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

Former Yankees manager Joe Torre and his wife, Ali Torre, founded the organization in response to the impact domestic abuse had on Torre's life. The mission of the foundation is to help save lives by educating people on how to end the cycle of domestic violence.

Bob Costas will serve as the master of ceremonies for this year's event. Other expected attendees include former Yankees Aaron Boone, David Cone and Bernie Williams as well as Yankees captain Derek Jeter.
