Lee mows down Red Sox in 2-hitter

Cliff Lee tossed a two-hitter for his third consecutive shutout and the Phillies beat Josh Beckett and the Boston Red Sox, 5-0, last night in Philadelphia.
Domonic Brown and Shane Victorino each hit a two-run homer for the Phillies, who improved their major league-leading record to 50-30.
Lee (9-5) didn't allow a hit until Marco Scutaro led off the sixth with a line-drive single to left-center. The lefthander ran his career-best scoreless streak to 32 innings with his ninth career shutout and fourth this year.
Rays 4, Reds 3: Evan Longoria hit a walk-off solo homer in the ninth. Johnny Damon homered and drove in three runs for the Rays, who have won 9 of 11.
Giants sweep Cubs. In his first game since leaving his start April 16 because of a right foot sprain, Barry Zito (1-1) allowed two runs and four hits in seven innings as the visiting Giants beat the Cubs, 6-3, in the nightcap for their their seventh straight win. Pat Burrell and Aaron Rowand each drove in three runs as the Giants won the opener, 13-7.
Pirates 7, Blue Jays 6: Alex Presley hit his first career home run and Andrew McCutchen also went deep as the Pirates ended their interleague road losing streak at 13.
Rangers 7, Astros 3: C.J. Wilson (8-3) tripled for his first major-league hit and Josh Hamilton homered in visiting Texas' three-run third.
Cardinals 6, Orioles 2: Kyle Lohse (8-4) pitched five shutout innings andColby Rasmus and Matt Holliday homered for visiting St. Louis
Twins 6, Dodgers 4: Luke Hughes hit a tiebreaking homer as host Minnesota snapped a six-game losing streak.
