Livan Hernandez gets his first shutout since 2004
Livan Hernandez threw his first shutout in nearly six years, and catcher Ivan Rodriguez drove in three runs as host Washington beat Milwaukee, 8-0, Saturday. Hernandez, 35, didn't allow a hit after the fifth. It was his eighth career shutout and his first since July 30, 2004.

Ricky Nolasco (1-0) took a four-hitter into the ninth, and Ronny Paulino hit a three-run homer in Philadelphia.

Roy Oswalt (1-2) allowed five hits in seven scoreless innings.

Tim Lincecum (3-0) allowed four hits in six innings and had three hits and three RBIs in Los Angeles.

Pat Burrell hit a two-run homer off Manny Delcarmen in the top of the 12th after host Boston failed to score in the bottom of the 11th with the bases loaded and no outs in a game that was resumed yesterday after rain suspended it Friday night.
Twins 6, Royals 5
Orlando Hudson homered leading off the eighth for host Minnesota. Jim Thome hit a two-run homer in a five-run second inning.
Angels 6, Blue Jays 3
Howie Kendrick and Juan Rivera homered, and Joe Saunders (1-2) allowed two unearned runs and five hits in eight innings in Toronto.
