Maddon: Red Sox beanball 'carelessly incompetent'

Some managers react angrily in postgame interviews after one of their players have been hit by a pitch. Former Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston was still simmering when he once warned a room full of reporters not to ask him about the topic. No one crossed Gaston on that one.
Then there's Joe Maddon, the Nostradamus-like manager of the Rays (see: batting Carlos Pena leadoff, starting rookie Matt Moore in the first game of the playoffs). Maddon was more than happy to talk about (at length) his opinions after Luke Scott was hit by a Franklin Morales pitch in the ninth inning of the Rays 7-4 win over the Red Sox.
