So what does he think about Stony Brook's run from underdog to participant in the 2012 CWS in Omaha, Neb.?
"It’s great to see," Teixeira told Newsday's Erik Boland. "That just speaks to baseball in general. If a team gets hot and they pitch and they get big hits, they can go on a run. That’s the beauty of baseball. Anyone has a chance."
