PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- The Mets announced the starting rotation for its season-opening series against the Padres:
April 1: Edinson Volquez vs. Jon Niese
April 3: Clayton Richard vs. Matt Harvey
April 4: Eric Stults vs. Dillon Gee
The projected starters against the Marlins:
April 5: Henderson Alvarez vs. Jeremy Hefner
April 6: Kevin Slowey vs. Jon Niese
April 7: Ricky Nolasco vs. Shaun Marcum
