The Mets game against the Washington Nationals scheduled for Thursday has been postponed. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader (1:35 and 7:05) July 26.
Justin Turner was due to start in leftfield for the first time in his major-league career.
The Mets' bats finally came alive Wednesday as they crushed the Nats, 10-1, to snap a four-game losing streak. After getting swept by Miami last week, the Mets return home to Citi Field to begin a three-game series with the Marlins on Friday.
Newsday's Marc Carig reports Matt Harvey, Shaun Marcum and Jonathon Niese, respectively, will start in the weekend series.
