Well the Mets did add one player at the Winter Meetings. You've just probably never heard of him. And he may be gone before you ever get around to seeing him.

The Mets selected Kyle Lobstein with the 10th pick of the Rule 5 draft on Thursday. He was later traded to the Tigers for cash considerations.

Lobstein, a left-handed pitcher who spent last season with Tampa Bay's Double-A club, was 8-7 with a 4.06 ERA in 27 starts in 2012. He struck out 129 batters in 144 innings, walking 69. In four minor league seasons, Lobstein, 23, is 30-30 with a 3.85 ERA in 92 games (91 starts).

The Yankees' 40-man roster was full, and since selections must be added to the roster, they couldn't make a pick.

Neither the Yankees or Mets lost any players during the draft.
