The Dodgers were in town Friday night to start a three-game series against the Mets, but they weren’t the biggest stars from Hollywood at Citi Field.

Emma Stone and Chris Pine were on the field and in the home dugout before the game as scenes were filmed for their movie “The Catch,” a baseball romantic comedy expected to be released on May 21, 2027.

It seems Juan Soto can add “actor” to his resume too. The Mets superstar filmed multiple takes of a scene that involved him staring out onto the field before walking down the dugout steps toward the clubhouse.

Soto and Stone shared a hug in the dugout.

Fans walking into Citi Field were greeted with “NOTICE” signs that read: “This area is being used to film a motion picture currently entitled ‘THE CATCH’. By your presence in this area, you acknowledge that you have been informed that you may be photographed and recorded as part of the motion picture.

“Further, by your presence here, you grant your permission for your likeness and voice to be included in the motion picture without compensation, credit or other consideration. If you do not wish to be photographed, recorded, or appear in the motion picture under these conditions, you should leave this area immediately. Thank you for your cooperation.”

So perhaps some Mets fans became movie stars as extras, too — even if they didn’t expect or want to be. — BEN DICKSON
