Mets injury bug bites Zack Wheeler

JUPITER, Fla. -- The Mets' injury bug bit top pitching prospect Zack Wheeler. Or tripped him.
Wheeler twisted his left ankle running up some stairs on Sunday, according to Wheeler's Twitter account. The 21-year-old righthander, who last pitched on Saturday, will miss his next minor-league exhibition start, according to a Mets official.
Wheeler, whom the Mets acquired from the Giants for Carlos Beltran last July, Wednesday wrote on his Twitter account: "The ankle is fine everybody. It's nothing serious. I threw on it today. And we are just taking it easy. It's spring training. It's early."
The Mets have suffered through an injury-plagued spring training, with David Wright among those attempting to come back from injuries before Opening Day on April 5.
No news on Torres
The Mets had no update on CF Andres Torres, who strained his left calf Tuesday. Collins said prospect Matt den Dekker would get a look in centerfield Thursday. The Mets have no healthy, experienced centerfielders on their roster.
