Mets' season opener vs. Royals moved to Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN

The Mets hoped to finish the 2015 season in Kansas City, but a loss in Game 5 of the World Series meant they must wait until April 3, 2016, for a return visit to the Royals.
Still, the World Series rematch is sufficiently attractive that ESPN will televise the game nationally at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time, the finale of a tripleheader that will begin with the Cardinals at the Pirates at 1 p.m. on ESPN and the Blue Jays at the Rays at 4 p.m.
The Yankees will open at 1 p.m. Monday, April 4, by hosting the Astros, the team that defeated them in the wild-card round of the American League playoffs.
So both New York teams will have mild measures of revenge on their minds when they begin the new season.
