The World Series? Michael Conforto has been there, done that. Twice.

Mind you, Conforto was only 5-2 and 115 pounds the first time he competed in a World Series, and next week's matchup against the American League champion will be for higher stakes, but that doesn't take away the fact that the Mets outfielder belongs to a highly exclusive brotherhood known as the World Series Slam.

The Little League Baseball website describes it as a player who's been to the Little League, College and Major League World Series. Conforto, who played with Redmond North Little League and then Oregon State, is one of only three players to accomplish the feat. Retired journeyman reliever Ed Vosberg and former Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek are the others.

One thing Conforto, 22, hasn't done, though, is actually win a World Series.

It wasn't from a lack of production: Conforto helped his Little League team win a Northwest Region championship in 2004 and went 6-for-10 in that three-game tournament before homering in the first game of the World Series.

With Oregon State in 2013, he went 7-for-16 in the CWS, earning first- team All-American honors.
