One final Ike note (honest)
One last tidbit here on Ike day: Ike Davis could come in handy the next time the Mets have a 20-inning game. He could pitch.
He was a stellar pitcher in high school (as are many big league players) then was a starting pitcher for Arizona State. His father Ron, a pitcher, said he knew Ike would make The Show because he had enough skill and savvy to be the Friday night starting pitcher and regular No. 3 hitter for one of the best college teams in the country.
