Terry Collins said he had tried to get in touch with David Wright to get a better idea of his schedule, which could have him playing in rehab games shortly after the All-Star break. Wright’s progress seemed to have slowed in the past week as the Mets moved cautiously with his recovering back, but they have been undeterred by the process.
“Until I talk to him,” Collins said, “I want to see where he’s at and what his thoughts are.”
