MLB players tweet about controversial Monday Night Football call
If you turned to twitter to vent your observations, exasperation and frustration in the aftermath of the MNF (Monday Night Fiasco) game between Seattle and Green Bay, you weren't alone. Some of baseball's more social media-inclined players did the same.
Here's a sampling of the top tweets (click here to see all of MLB's verified accounts):
David Price (Tampa Bay Rays): I forgot about the replacement refs...UNTIL I turned on the TV this morning...lol what a call
Collin Balester (Detroit Tigers): This just in from the NFL, once you're inside the 30 yard line it doesn't matter who catches the ball including the refs and its your TD.
Brett Anderson (Oakland A's): Those replacement refs must've really hated the 'discount double check' commercial.
Evan Longoria (Tampa Bay Rays): Golden Tate asked if he pushed off...Tate - “ IDK what your talking about” haha classic!
Evan Longoria (Tampa Bay Rays): That is unreal. I'm actually mad and I don't even have a dog in the fight. I'm sick
Paul Maholm (Atlanta Braves): I think the one ref looked at the other and said. Hey man this ain't Saturday mornings in the park anymore. #popwarner.
Mark Teixeira (Yankees): I haven't watch the highlights, were there any bad calls in the #MNF game last night?
