Nationals end Braves' four-game winning streak
Nyjer Morgan had two hits and scored two runs in his return from the disabled list, and Willie Harris padded the lead with a two-run homer in the ninth as the Nationals beat the Braves, 6-2, Thursday in Atlanta.
John Lannan (Chaminade) won his third straight start. Lannan (5-5) gave up two runs and seven hits in 51/3 innings.
The NL East-leading Braves wrapped up a 5-2 homestand with their first loss in five games. They will get a boost Friday when first baseman Derrek Lee starts against his former team in Chicago.
"We won both series; we have to say it was a real good homestand," manager Bobby Cox said. "We can't win every game. I keep thinking we can and . . . we've never done it yet."
Giants 5, Phillies 2
Jonathan Sanchez (9-8) allowed just two hits and pitched into the ninth inning. Buster Posey had two RBI doubles for visiting San Francisco.

Will Venable hit a two-run single in the seventh inning for visiting San Diego.
Angels 7, Red Sox 2
Hideki Matsui hit a three-run homer and also walked with the bases loaded. Ervin Santana (13-8) took a two-hitter into the eighth for visiting Los Angeles.

Paul Konerko had five hits and four RBIs, and Mark Buehrle (12-9) pitched seven shutout innings for visiting Chicago.
Orioles 4, Rangers 0
Brian Matusz (5-12) allowed five hits in eight innings for host Baltimore.
