Olivo's homer in 10th leads Rockies past Phillies
Miguel Olivo went 5-for-5, including a leadoff home run in the 10th inning, to give host Colorado a 4-3 victory yesterday in the opener of a day-night doubleheader. The nightcap was postponed.
Philadelphia's Roy Halladay took a 3-1 lead into the seventh, but the Colorado native had a no-decision after Brad Hawpe's tying, two-run triple. Olivo, who came in on a 2-for-28 slump, homered on Chad Durbin's first pitch.

Brooks Conrad homered, doubled and drove in four runs as visiting Atlanta completed a three-game sweep.

Carlos Silva (4-0) gave up two runs in 61/3 innings, and Marlon Byrd hit an RBI double as host Chicago snapped a four-game losing streak.

Homer Bailey (1-2) matched Johnny Cueto, giving visiting Cincinnati back-to-back shutouts to complete a three-game sweep.

David Price (5-1) pitched into the seventh inning to win his third straight decision, and visiting Tampa Bay scored twice on passed balls by backup catcher Ryan Budde.

Shaun Marcum (2-1) pitched two-hit ball for seven shutout innings and Travis Snider homered, and drove in all three runs as visiting Toronto avoided a three-game sweep.

Carl Pavano (4-3) went seven innings and made it four straight starts of allowing two earned runs or less for host Minnesota.
Strasburg dominates
Stephen Strasburg, the top pick of the 2009 draft by the Washington Nationals, threw six no-hit innings last night against Norfolk in his second start for Syracuse. He threw 79 pitches, 55 for strikes, struck out seven, and walked one. - AP
