Corey Patterson hit a game-ending homer in the 14th inning and Jose Bautista connected for his major league-leading 20th home run as the host Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox, 9-8, yesterday.

Patterson led off the 14th with a drive to right off Gavin Floyd (5-5) for his third of the season. It was the fourth game-winning homer of his career.

Indians 7, Rays 3: Shelley Duncan and Orlando Cabrera each had two RBIs and Carlos Carrasco pitched six solid innings for visiting Cleveland, which had a four-run eighth. Carrasco (4-2) gave up two runs and seven hits.

Rangers 10, Royals 1: Mitch Moreland, Mike Napoli and Endy Chavez hit consecutive homers to match a club record and back Matt Harrison's five-hit shutout pitching over six innings for host Texas.

Twins 1, Angels 0: Danny Valencia hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 10th inning for Minnesota after spot starter Anthony Swarzak held the Angels hitless into the eighth.

Brewers 3, Giants 2: Pinch hitter Jonathan Lucroy's bases-loaded suicide squeeze scored Ryan Braun with one out in the bottom of the ninth for Milwaukee.

Pirates 10, Cubs 0: Paul Maholm pitched a three-hitter for his first victory in a month and Ronny Cedeño, Lyle Overbay, Chris Snyder and Andrew McCutchen for visiting Pittsburgh.

Padres 2, Nationals 1: Tim Stauffer pitched seven innings for his first win of the season and Blake Tekotte had the first two hits of his major-league career for visiting San Diego.

Braves 7, Reds 6: Chipper Jones' single in the bottom of the 12th drove in Jordan Schafer for Atlanta. Brian McCann had four hits, including two homers.

Rockies 15, Cardinals 4: Chris Iannetta homered twice and drove in a career-high six runs and Juan Nicasio pitched seven solid innings in his major-league debut for host Colorado.

Diamondbacks 11, Astros 3: Zach Duke allowed three hits over seven innings and hit a three-run homer in his first game of the season for visiting Arizona.
