Think Amar'e Stoudemire was fired up to play basketball again?
Stoudemire was 8-for-11 from the floor for a .727 field goal percentage in his 35 minutes of play during the Knicks' opener on Christmas Day. He achieved a percentage at least that high only four times last season, and two of those came in games in which he played less than 30 minutes.
Giants second-year defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was selected to his first Pro Bowl this season after compiling a resume that included 15.5 sacks, 63 tackles, six passes defended and two forced fumbles. But it's also a historic season for Pierre-Paul. Only Gibril Wilson (92), Myron Guyton (75), Pepper Johnson (74) and Terrell Thomas (70) had more tackles in their second season with the Giants.
