Quick Mets medical updates from Monday

-- Outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis was sent for an MRI exam on his bruised left knee. He is expected to miss the next three to five days.
-- Top pitching prospect Zack Wheeler will play catch on Tuesday and Wednesday before possibly throwing a bullpen on Friday, according to pitching coach Dan Warthen. If all goes well, Wheeler (oblique strain) could be back in a game by early next week.
-- Tom Goodwin was out with the flu.
