Price attended Vanderbilt from 2005-07 before becoming the No. 1 overall pick by the Rays as a junior in the 2007 MLB Draft. The reigning AL Cy Young winner went 22-10 in three seasons with the Commodores.

Vanderbilt kicks off the college football season in an SEC rivalry game against Ole Miss at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in Nashville.
