Boston's Hunter Dobbins has surgery for torn ACL

HOUSTON — Boston right-hander Hunter Dobbins had surgery to repair a torn right ACL on Tuesday.
Dobbins was injured July 11 after landing awkwardly when making a play while covering first base.
The 25-year-old Dobbins was 4-1 with a 4.13 ERA in 13 games with 11 starts this season in his first year in the majors.
