Reeling Marlins win one for McKeon, 80
The Marlins' new 80-year-old manager still has the winning touch. Jack McKeon earned his first victory since coming out of retirement Monday when host Florida broke an 11-game losing streak by beating the Angels, 5-2, Tuesday night.
The Angels had 13 hits but went 1-for-15 with runners in scoring position.
Gaby Sanchez hit his 13th homer for Florida. Hanley Ramirez, who entered at .200, batted fourth for the first time in his career. He was 2-for-4 for his first multihit game since May 21 for the Marlins, who are 2-19 in June.
Braves 5, Blue Jays 1: Brian McCann hit a two-run homer, and Mike Minor (1-2) ended a nine-start winless streak for host Atlanta.
Nationals 6, Mariners 5: Wilson Ramos capped a five-run ninth with a game-ending three-run homer, giving the Nats their ninth win in 10 games.
Rockies 4, Indians 3: Seth Smith's second homer of the game snapped a ninth-inning tie before Huston Street earned his major league-leading 22nd save. Jason Giambi had three hits for Colorado, which has won six of seven.
Padres 5, Red Sox 4: Anthony Rizzo drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh at Fenway Park as San Diego snapped a season-worst six-game skid. It was only the third loss in 17 games for the Red Sox.
Brewers 5, Rays 1: Zack Greinke (7-2) struck out 10 in seven innings to help Milwaukee avoid losing consecutive home games for the first time this season. The Brewers are 26-10 at Miller Park.
Rangers 5, Astros 4: Mitch Moreland ripped the first pitch of the bottom of the 11th into the upper deck in rightfield.
Pirates 9, Orioles 3: Neil Walker had three RBIs as host Pittsburgh ended a four-game slide.
Diamondbacks 7, Royals 2: Wily Mo Peña, in his first game in the big leagues since 2008, and Chris Young homered, and Joe Saunders (4-7) threw seven strong innings for visiting Arizona.
Phillies 10, Cardinals 2: Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley each had a two-run single in Philadelphia's nine-run top of the eighth. Carlos Ruiz had four hits.
White Sox 3, Cubs 2: Paul Konerko homered in his fifth consecutive game.
Bumgarner's nightmare. The Twins tied a major-league record by opening with eight consecutive hits against the Giants' Madison Bumgarner in an eight-run first inning.
