Perhaps that whole biking and texting thing won't be the only fall of the week for Bobby Valentine.

Valentine's time in Boston will last just one season, according to a report from CBS Sports baseball insider Jon Heyman.

"People familiar with the situation" say the Red Sox will fire Valentine possibly as early as Thursday or Friday. Boston is in New York to close out the disappointing season against the Yankees.

Heading into Wednesday night's season finale, the Red Sox were 69-92, and win or lose Game 162, they clinched last place in the AL East.
