Report: Jose Reyes, Albert Pujols get Marlins offers
The Marlins, rumored at the start of this offseason to be in on just about every major free agent, made "substantial offers" to Jose Reyes and Albert Pujols on Friday, according to Foxsports.com.
No figures were given.
Reyes visited the Marlins on Wednesday, receiving a tour of their new ballpark, as did lefthander Mark Buehrle, a pitcher in whom the Yankees have interest. SI.com reported Friday that the Marlins also made an offer to Buehrle, though the report did not give specifics. The SI.com report said there was "nothing close" to a deal being completed with any of the three players.
