Marlins 2, Phillies 0

Nate Robertson outdueled Cole Hamels into the seventh inning and Dan Uggla drove in both runs with a homer and a double Sunday as visiting Florida beat Philadelphia for a second straight day.

Robertson (2-0) weaved in and out of trouble, striking out four and walking four in 61/3 innings.

Florida took two out of three from the Phillies.

Hamels (2-1) allowed seven hits in eight-plus innings with eight strikeouts. He gave up Uggla's homer to start the second inning. The second baseman was 3-for-29 against Hamels before the home run.

Dodgers 2, Giants 1

Manny Ramirez hit a two-run, pinch-hit home run in the eighth for host Los Angeles. Ramirez, who didn't start for the second straight day because of tightness in his right calf, drove a 1-and-2 pitch from Sergio Romo (0-1) into the leftfield pavilion with one out after Barry Zito walked pinch hitter Garret Anderson.

Astros 3, Cubs 2

Pedro Feliz hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the 10th inning after Geoff Blum tied it with an RBI double in the ninth for visiting Houston.

Tim Byrdak (1-0) pitched a scoreless ninth as Houston won its first series since taking two out of three from Pittsburgh on Sept. 11-13, 2009.

Brewers 11, Nationals 7

Craig Counsell hit a grand slam in a 10-run first and visiting Milwaukee held on to avoid a three-game sweep. Jason Marquis (0-3, 20.52 ERA) was pulled before recording an out. He faced seven batters, and all reached base: four singles, two hit batters, one walk.

Pirates 5, Reds 3

Paul Maholm (1-1) pitched four-hit ball into the seventh as host Pittsburgh completed a three-game sweep.

Padres 5, Diamondbacks 3

Chase Headley hit a go-ahead, two-run double with two outs in the seventh and host San Diego rallied for five runs to sweep Arizona.
