Robinson Cano did not start for a second straight game because of a stiff neck, but Joe Girardi used him as a pinch hitter for Jayson Nix with two outs in the eighth.
He walked. “As the day went on he had a ton of treatment and he just felt that he could give us an at-bat,” Girardi said. “So I took advantage of it.”
