Robinson Cano was removed from the All-Star Game after getting hit with a pitch on the right quadriceps by Matt Harvey in the first inning.
X-Rays on Cano's leg came back negative. FOX's Ken Rosenthal reported that Cano was examined by a Mets doctor and has been diagnosed with a right quadriceps contusion.
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia replaced Cano in the American League lineup.
"I'll be good for Friday," Cano told Rosenthal in an interview during FOX's telecast of the game.
