Sandy Alderson zings Bob Costas

After the Mets' enthusiastic celebration of a walkoff win against the Cubs on Sunday, commentator Bob Costas quipped that the display was "another sign of the ongoing decline of Western Civilization."
Wednesday afternoon, Mets GM Sandy Alderson got his revenge. In tweet form:
.@MattHarvey33 & @Wheelerpro45 both won Tuesday. All of Western civilization was uplifted, including the Cougar Club.

The tweet was Alderson's first since mid-April and managed to not only zing Costas but also mention the Mets' attempt to solicit All-Star Game votes for David Wright from a website for "cougars" that voted the third baseman the hottest "cub."
Alderson is known for his dry sense of humor, particularly on twitter.
